These characters were designed for a pitch deck for a video game. The game is set on a mining colony in the future, but the technology and aesthetic direction is based on old Appalachian mining towns and retro corporate branding. Everything is worn-down, up-cycled, and generally pieced together with grit and duck-tape--IN SPACE!
Appalachian quilts, 1970's space suits, and Victorian silhouettes inspired many of the elements of these designs.
